Lot Tracking & Recall
Ingredients are tracked by Lot Numbers from receiving through production to shipping so that you know what’s in every batch and every finished good. This includes sub-mixes, consumed ingredients and packaging materials. Lot numbers can be auto-generated for both intermediates and finished goods. GFSI traceability and recall mandates can be satisfied in minutes, rather than hours. Non-compliant ingredients, raw materials, and finished goods can be tracked in less time and with less waste.
Automated Batching & Mixing
PRIMS automates wet and dry ingredients such as flour, water, HFCS, oil, brew, and yeast draws. PRIMS can automate mixer speeds and times, refrigeration and temperature collection at key points. PRIMS ensures traceability of automatic bulk ingredient movements from silos to the mixer and can be customized to help you reach your quality, safety and compliance goals.
Eliminate Operator Errors
Scaling stations ensure each weighed ingredient has been recorded, preventing recipe completion until all ingredients are weighed. Operators will be asked to scale an ingredient to a tolerance set by the administrators. PRIMS will not allow it to move forward until the weight is within tolerance shown on the scaling station screen. The stations scan and validate lot numbers, providing real time inventory usage, eliminating paperwork and improving traceability.
Formula Control
To ensure that a product formula meets its target weight or volume, PRIMS can scale each ingredient according to formula-specific rules. PRIMS handles multi-level sub-recipes (sub-components) making complex products easier to manage. Formulas are also tracked over time in terms of costing, versions, production locations, bill of materials & packaging type. This builds a historical production log for every formula.
Ingredient Costing & Purchasing
PRIMS can generate purchase orders for ingredient inventory that can be emailed to your vendors. PRIMS can calculate the budget, costing overhead and labor costs for each formula. The production scheduling module helps you plan production for weeks or months in advance, so that you know you’ll have the ingredients when you need them.
